Women's Mountain Retreat

About 700 women gathered in Pigeon Forge, TN, on August 26 and 27, to worship God. Yes, we laughed, we had some fun, but these women came with one thought—glorifying God! And we did.

The meeting was ordained by God and He was not hidden because the hearts of everyone were welcoming His presence. God was comforting on every side because He heard the voice of our weeping. We wept over our inadequacies, over lost souls, and those who were hurting physically and spiritually.

During our time together, we worshipped Him as the God who has no limits, who gives more grace, grace upon grace, and sufficient grace. We were reminded through His Word that Grace became Law at Calvary and His Son put an exclamation mark on this truth when He stood alive and well outside the tomb of Joseph of Arimethea.

The Women’s Mountain Band took us to heavenly places through their magnificent music: Linda Hicks caused us to laugh, but then, rejoice as she taught us about the women around the Cross. The Cheatem Hill Choir sang the blessed songs of Dianne Wilkinson, “Boundless Love,” “We Shall See Jesus”, “God Did It All,” and many others, all of them anointed. Dianne shared the stories behind some of her songs, praising Him humbly for the privilege of serving God through the talent He bestowed on her.

Barry Rowland & Deliverance took many by surprise: How amazing that a group could sing that beautifully, yet sing with such humility and under the power of the Holy Ghost.

God ordained the meeting of these women so that we could “come apart” for a little while and be among our own kind: To refresh, encourage, and strengthen us to go back to our churches, families, and individual ministries full of renewed HOPE.

Women’s Mountain Retreat for 2012!

We know already what, who, where, and when, and we know “how” — “How,” the most important part of the agenda is; through the power of the Blood of Jesus, by the Grace it provides, and eagerly anticipating the glorious Holy Spirit, we will assemble again at “The Wilderness” Event Center in Sevierville, TN on Friday and Saturday, August 24 and 25.

All the information to register, book rooms, etc., will be on this website very soon. In the meantime, please read the Pray-A-Day letter on this site and, PRAY! All you women of God—may He bless you richly with never ending love and inexhaustible mercy.
